[レクチャー報告]2024年5月28日「Queer Cinema Forum 2024」／久保豊准教授（国際学系／グローバル・レジリエンス部門）

　2024年5月28日、久保豊准教授（国際学系／グローバル・レジリエンス部門）が京都大学大学院文学研究科の連続講義「Queer Cinema Forum 2024」に登壇し、”Flavors of Queer Cinema in India”という題名でレクチャーを実施しました。

レクチャー要旨：

What does contemporary queer cinema in India taste like? Beginning with the report on the fieldwork at the 14th KASHISH Mumbai International Queer Film Festival held in early June 2023, this talk aims to provide a historical overview of queer cinema from the late 20th century to the present. How has the film industry in India gained a “language” or “tongue” to speak of or taste the complexities of same-sex desires since Badnam Basti (1971), a film often labeled as India’s first gay film? This lecture hopes to bring up some challenging aspects within/around the Indian film industry, such as censorship, funding, reception, and global marketing.
